Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social
well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how
we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is
important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through
adulthood.
IMPORTANCE OF MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS
Mental health awareness
is the ongoing effort to reduce the stigma around mental illness and mental
health conditions by sharing our personal experiences. Often, because of
misconceptions about mental health and mental fitness, people often suffer in
silence and their conditions go untreated. Mental Health Awareness helps
to educating the public about mental health but also to reduce the
stigma and discrimination that people with mental illness are often subjected to.
Many people struggle with mental illness but do not realize it.
